Soups

Soup is the most traditional way to warm up on a cold winter’s day. There are hundreds of different types of soup from tomatoe soup, to Italian wedding soup, to the latest craze, Dill pickle soup for all you pickle lovers! One way to spice up the classic chicken noodle soup is to shred up rotisserie chicken instead of using pre-cooked or making your own. The preparation is super easy, but the chicken still tastes amazing.

Sandwich Melts

Well, now you will need something to eat with your soup! You could always make the timeless grilled cheese with your tomato soup, but if you are looking the spice it up, here are some ideas:

Add a hamburger patty to your grilled cheese to have your own Steak n’ Shake melt at home! Next, try using provolone cheese and salami in your sandwich which is also known as an Italian grilled cheese. This would go perfectly with your Italian Wedding soup! Next, again for all you pickle lovers, add some pickles to your grilled cheese.

Your Favorite Pasta

Nothing makes you feel more warm and happy than a big bowl of pasta! Fettuccine alfredo is a household favorite among Americans, and it can be pretty simple to make your own alfredo sauce. All you need is parmesan cheese, heavy whipping cream, butter, and your favorite seasonings. If you want a quick, easy pasta meal that still tastes like a high-end restaurant, try pasta alla vodka which has been very popular on social media lately.

Macaroni and Cheese

Macaroni and cheese is another cold-weather favorite! There are hundreds of different recipes for it so you are sure to find one that is perfect for you and your family. Spice up your macaroni by adding ground beef to it with some chili powder seasoning! You can also add bacon to it to make “loaded mac n cheese”. Top it off with some scallions and you have an amazing winter meal.

Potstickers

Not only are potstickers delicious, but the process of making them is also a fun activity you can do with your partner or children! Make them your own by using whatever meat you prefer. While potstickers are amazing on their own, did you know that you can make them into soup? Add your potstickers into some miso soup, and you have created an incredible (and easy) meal.
