These hearty and flavorful foods are loaded with spices such as paprika, ginger, and curry, with hints of sweet fruits such as mango and pineapple.

 

Diwali: Diwali is an Indian festival of lights that is 5 days long. Mithai are Indian sweets made from flour, sugar, nuts, and boiling milk. This particular food is a large part of Diwali tradition, and it brings people together by baking and enjoying sweets while they celebrate!

 

Kwanzaa: Kwanzaa is an annual celebration that is observed by many African Americans from December 26 to January 1. This is a celebration of their cultural heritage and traditional values that includes a community feast on the sixth day called Karamu. The main dish is a one-pot stew served with sides such as herbed chicken thighs and romaine salad with orange and radish.

 

Thanksgiving: Thanksgiving is an American celebration centered around food! Thanksgiving dinner brings friends and families around the table. Families travel just to enjoy food with loved ones! Savory meats followed by tasty sweets are the flavors of the season!
