Merriman Valley, or as many Akronites call it “the valley” is an area that is known as the gateway to the Cuyahoga Valley National Park. In the past, the valley has been home to many restaurants, bars, clothing stores, and offices. Currently, in Liberty Commons, there are businesses such as Saffron Patch, Weathervane Playhouse, and Mickey’s in the Valley. The cities of Cuyahoga Falls and Akron agreed recently to revitalize the area budgeted at upwards of $100,000. This new budget initiative has sparked the inspiration to introduce the new Liberty Common renovation.
The New Liberty Commons
Liberty Commons has the potential to be a great area stocked full of restaurants, boutiques, bars, offices, and much more. There will also be direct access to the Ohio & Erie Canal.

Liberty Commons will be stocked full of diverse restaurants to fit many different pallets. There are already great restaurants such as Saffron Patch Indian Cuisine, and there is the potential for so many more!
