Summer is on the way out and crisp fall weather accompanied by pumpkin picking, apple cider, and late-night bonfires is going to be in, but, there is one thing both of these seasons have in common and it’s…BONFIRES! Bonfires are nostalgic and typically associated with s’mores, good company, and memories. So, how do you make a candle that will give you that late-night summer, chilly-fall bonfire vibe? We’re here to help! The best way to make a custom candle like this is to book an event with your local candle-pouring business and have the time of your life!
Graham Cracker
It may be up for debate if the first thing that comes to mind when thinking of a s’more is the marshmallow, graham cracker, or chocolate, but nonetheless, one of the most important parts of any s’mores concoction is the graham cracker! If your local candle-pouring place offers a graham cracker scent, then you’re in business! If they don’t, mix a cinnamon scent with a nutmeg scent for that spicier kick and a dash of a honey scent for that “honey graham” nostalgia!
Marshmallow
After the graham cracker, marshmallow is also extremely important for a s’more to be considered… a s’more. To get this scent, use a marshmallow scent if there is one, or, if not, using a tried and true vanilla scent will always do the trick!
Chocolate
The chocolate bar between the graham cracker and marshmallow is what gives the s’more its decadent flavor. Adding a dash of a chocolate or cocoa scent to your hand-poured creation will make it that much more of a s’mores candle! You don’t need a lot of a chocolate scent to add some pizazz to your candle. Just a dash or two should do the trick, unless you like extra chocolate with your s’mores– in that case, go all out, no one is stopping you.
Woods
Replicating the oaky scent of a crackling bonfire is something that will add the finishing touches to your candle, and this will give it that extra campfire scent that will transport you to a night by the fire with your loved ones. Most candle-pouring bars have an oaky scent or a woodsy scent that will fit right in with the theme of your candle.
